Jumbo (proper spelling: JUMBO) is the brand of JUMBOinfomobile GmbH based in Jülich , a special vehicle manufacturer . The company was founded in 1986 in Haan near Düsseldorf and moved to Jülich in 1996.

Range of services

On the basis of different vehicles, from car trailers to trucks , custom-made bodies and entire vehicle trailers are manufactured, as required for information vehicles, promotional vehicles or special technical vehicles . The superstructures offer presentation and work areas between 9 and 200 m². With generators, air conditioning units, their own water supply and mobile internet, the vehicles can be operated completely independently.

Career and special features

In 2000, the world's first two-story closed vehicle was presented at the IAA Commercial Vehicles in Frankfurt am Main .

OB vans and mobile command centers have also been manufactured since 2005 .

After the hall area was enlarged, double-deck vehicles have been increasingly being built since 2007.

At Jumbo, the largest mobile fire brigade control center in Europe for the Düsseldorf professional fire brigade was completed in June 2011 .

In August 2013, the manufacturer built Germany's first pharmacy bus for the DocMorris mail order pharmacy .

In 2014, Jumbo was awarded the largest ever budget in the information truck segment by the Gesamtmetall employers' association . Ten vehicles were put on the road for the employers' association by 2017 to promote young talent.

Since 2017, the company has been increasingly producing health vehicles for, for example, the German Red Cross and McDonald's Kinderhilfe.

Jumbo supported immobilienscout24 at the Housing Summit 2018 in Berlin with a mobile living room.

The first promotional gas vehicle went on tour in 2018.

Under the name TouchTomorrow, Jumbo launched the first MINT info truck for the Dr. Hans Riegel Foundation in 2018 . With this campaign, the manufacturer has been nominated for the German Brand Award 2019.
