Jun'ichi saga

Junichi Saga ( Jap. 佐賀純一 , Saga Jun'ichi * 1941 in Japan ) is a Japanese author who at the Keio University medical doctorate and in the north-east of Tokyo located Tsuchiura ( Ibaraki prefecture maintains a medical practice).

In his work as an author, he is inspired by his mostly elderly patients, whose stories he keeps as notes for his book projects. He received the NHK Prize for a documentary book tracing the emigration of the Japanese to Hawaii , and his book Memories of Silk was named Book of the Year by the foreign press in Japan. His book Confessions of a Yakuza served as an unauthorized template for Bob Dylan's "Love and Theft" album from 2001. Saga did not resent Dylan's unauthorized use of his texts. According to press reports, he was pleased that his work was allowed to serve as a source of inspiration.
