Career

Jung Jong-hyun was encouraged by his father to become a professional Starcraft player back in the Broodwar days. Mvp was able to generate a bit of a stir in Starcraft Broodwar under the name anonymous , especially through various games in team league matches against Starcraft greats such as NaDa or Flash. Mvp did not usually win these games, but was able to wrest individual sets from these sizes and also beat Stork several times. His greatest achievement in Starcraft Broodwar was reaching the quarterfinals of the 2010 Hana Daetoo Securities MSL.

Mvp's official StarCraft 2 career began on October 1, 2010 with the co-founding of IM. At the time, he was considered the best broodwar player who switched to Starcraft 2. Jung Jong-hyun also made a name for himself in 2010 by being the first player to score over 3000 points in the Korean ladder. Shortly before the 2011 GSL Season 1, he was able to record his first major tournament success by winning the Gainward SC2 Tournament.

In the 2011 GLS Code S Season 1, Mvp should continue happily by becoming the first Terran GSL winner. Mvp's series of successes was only just about to begin, because in the same year he was able to book two GSL Code S titles for himself. He also had his first international success with a win at an MLG tournament, Blizzcon 2011 and the World Cyber Games 2011.

In 2012, Mvp was able to claim another GSL Code S title and is now one of the only two players alongside NesTea who have three or more GSL titles. He was also able to win the IEM Season VII in Cologne.
