The Junge Presse Niedersachsen (JPN) is a non-profit, registered association and operates as an association of non-commercial and youth-owned media in Lower Saxony . He is a member of the Federal Association of Youth Press Germany .

activities

The focus of the work is the further training of young people interested in the media and young media makers between the ages of 12 and 27 years. The seminar and event program ranges from workshops on layout , research and writing techniques to youth media camps and mobile academies (MobAk's) in schools to seminars on current topics from politics, society and culture. The Dachverband Jugendpresse Deutschland eV (JPD) issues a youth press pass for this purpose .

The JPN-Journal publishes information from association life and the youth media scene in Lower Saxony, as well as articles and photos that were taken during the seminars and trips abroad. The journal appears every six months.

Youth media camp Northwest

The Jugendmediencamp Nordwest is a media festival for young media makers in Lower Saxony. About Ascension Day it takes place in Loxstedt near Bremerhaven . Around 100 young people between the ages of 14 and 27 can get creative in various workshops and at the same time broaden their media horizons. Previous experience in dealing with the media is not necessary. It includes discussions, art breaks and an evening stage program.

Uncensored competition

Uncensored is a competition for print and online school newspapers in Lower Saxony. The JPN selects the best newspapers and blogs at schools in Lower Saxony.
