The Young Republicans ( English the Young Republicans ), formally also as the Young Republican National Federation ( English Young Republican National Federation ) is a junior organization for members of the Republican Party of America between the ages of 18 and 40 years.
It has a national organization within the United States of America and a large number of branches in various states .
Local Young Republican organizations often advocate the concerns of the local population, so many of them take part in social events in smaller towns and help organize meetings of different local organizations to get to know each other.
The young Republicans support Republican candidates in all kinds of elections, last seen in the 2016 presidential campaign in support of Donald Trump .
history
Although some local predecessors of the Young Republicans have existed since 1859, the Young Republican National Association was not founded by George H. Olmsted until April 23, 1931, following an appeal by then President of the United States , Herbert Hoover .
The oldest existing local organization of young Republicans is the "New York Republican Club" in New York City which was founded in April 1911 and officially registered on February 19, 1912.

The young republican national association has only limited control over its state associations. Some states, including Montana , act as both state and local associations, while much of the states, including Texas and California , allow their local associations great freedom. For example, they can solve problems directly among each other in local organizations and plan major events for parts of a state without the approval of the national organization.
The state associations elect the executive committees, in particular the party chairmanship and the representatives for the areas of finance, administration and social affairs as well as vice chairmen and assistants depending on the state.
All members of the Executive Committee as well as the local associations and their association chairmen have the right to vote at State Council meetings.
The young Republicans and their local organizations in the states are financed through membership fees and attendance at national events and through private donors and sponsors.
The Young Republican National Federation owns the trademarks on the Young Republican National Federation and on the national organization logo.
