Junko Miyashita

Junko Miyashita ( Japanese 宮 下 順子 , Miyashita Junko ; born January 29, 1949 in Tokyo ) is a Japanese actress . Since the 1970s she starred in over a hundred films.

Life

Between 1972 and 1974 she played in several softcore strips for the Nikkatsu film company (and thus became a kind of icon in the novel Porno (short for romantic pornography )), until she appeared in 1975 with the erotic film Jitsuroku Abe Sada (German title: Die Geschichte der Abe Sada ; directed by Noboru Tanaka ) had her breakthrough as an actress, starring the historical person and prostitute Sada Abe . Miyashita continued to play mostly revealing roles.

From 1973 to 1980 she starred in seven films by the director Tatsumi Kumashiro , one of which ( Akai kami no onna (1979)) earned her a nomination for a Japanese Academy Award (JAA) in the category of best actress .

The year before, she had been nominated for the Japanese Academy Awards for Best Supporting Actress for her role in the film Dainamaito dondon (1978) by director Kihachi Okamoto . She was also nominated for the Japanese Academy Award for her supporting role in the film Kumokiri nizaemon (1978), which was directed by Hideo Gosha . However, she won a Blue Ribbon Award for both roles .

At the 1980 Yokohama Film Festival she received a special award for her career.

She later starred in two award-winning films by Mitsuo Yanagimachi , Himatsuri (1985) and Ai ni tsuite, Tokyo (1992).
