Abe Sada , also The Story of Abe Sada ( Japanese 実 録 阿 部 定 , Jitsuroku Abe Sada , Eng. "The true story of Abe Sada") is an erotic film from the Japanese film company Nikkatsu from 1975. Directed by Noboru Tanaka . The work is a representative of Pink Eiga , although it is produced in a much more artistic and comparatively romantic way. The Nikkatsu studio therefore chose the term Roman Porno for its in-house productions.

The production, which helped leading actress Junko Miyashita to her breakthrough, tells the true love story of the geisha Sada Abe , as does Nagisa Ōshima's controversial film In the Realm of the Senses (1976). The historical person once strangled his lover, emasculated him and then wandered aimlessly through the streets of Tokyo with his genitals cut off. The incident became a well-known scandal in Japan's history and has inspired artists, philosophers, writers and filmmakers ever since.

The film was released on DVD under the title A Woman called Abe Sada .

action

Sada Abe when she was arrested on May 20, 1936

Sada Abe, daughter of a good family, had a difficult childhood marked by rape, humiliation and submission. At the age of 18 she became a geisha and shortly afterwards got into the world of prostitution. Later she works under a false identity in different professions that lead her all over Japan. In this destructive phase, Sada's desire for men is shaped.

At the age of 31 she found accommodation in the married Kichizō's inn, where she worked as a waitress from now on. The former prostitute ultimately falls in love with her boss. The couple develops an unbridled passion for one another. In a room only a few square meters in size, which they rarely leave, they indulge in sometimes bizarre love games that are becoming more and more excessive and violent. In the intoxication of love, own limits are often exceeded. The lovers hardly notice that they are becoming increasingly alienated from the outside world.

At some point, the jealous Sada develops an irrepressible hatred for Kichizō's wife. She is obsessed with the idea of having the family man utterly without having to share him with any woman. In a mutual game to increase lust, she finally strangles and castrates her loved one. As a visible sign of togetherness, she then labels the lifeless body with the common first names: Sada and Kichi .

At the end of the film, full of sadness and longing for her dead lover, she escapes into the arms of the friendly school principal Mr. Osato, who has always generously supported her. On May 20, 1936, the murderess wanted by the police was arrested in a Tokyo hotel room with a loincloth, a crime knife and Kichizō's cut penis.
