Juozas Bertašius
Juozas Bertašius (born January 12, 1946 in Balandžiai , Tauragė district ) is a Lithuanian politician, former mayor of the Šakiai district .
Life
In 1959, Bertašius graduated from the Balčiai School near Tauragė and, in 1963, from the Building Technology Center in Vilnius . From 1965 to 1968 he did compulsory service in the Soviet Army . From 1968 to 1984 he was a civil engineer in the "Taikos" collective farm . From 1976 to 1982 he completed his degree in civil engineering at the Vilniaus inžinerinis statybos institutas . From 2003 to December 2016 he was mayor of Šakiai .
Bertašius was a member of Lietuvos komunistų partija , from 1995 Lietuvos valstiečių partija , from 2001 Valstiečių ir Naujosios democijos partijų sąjunga , from 2006 Lietuvos valstiečių liaudininkų sąjunga .
