Jurassic Park Adventures: Prey

Jurassic Park Adventures: Prey is the second of 3 spin-off books for the film Jurassic Park III , again written by Scott Ciencin . At 123 pages, it is a little longer than its predecessor. The book was published by Random House on October 23, 2001 .

This time the action takes place after the events of Jurassic Park III . The focus is on a group of teenagers stranded on Isla Sorna .

After the events of Jurassic Park III , we learn that Alan Grant has become part of a UN project. The project deals with the protection of dinosaurs. Above all, to bring the ecosystem of Isla Sorna back into balance. Eric Kirby begins to blackmail Alan Grant so that he can return to the island.

Alan Grant agrees. But he manages to outsmart Eric. He lets him come to the island during the Christmas season. At this time the project is paused.

Almost at the same time a group of teenagers reached the island. Led by 18 year old Simon Tunney, who is keen to get rich and famous. The group wants to make a film about the island. Simon is even ready to endanger his comrades if necessary.

Allan Grant and his team get wind of the matter relatively quickly and try to find the group. Meanwhile, Eric, who has just arrived, disappears from the headquarters. While Allan Grant and his team are unsuccessful in their search, they run into Eric.

The teenagers provoke a herd of Triceratops and put themselves in danger. With a simulated call for help from a Velociraptor , Eric can save her at the last moment. In the further course, Eric tries to convince the group to accompany him to the headquarters.

Simon in particular has doubts and fears that Allan Grant would confiscate his recordings. The group moves on, followed by an angry Eric. Unknowingly, the group is drawn to an area where large predatory dinosaurs are up to mischief. Eric knows this, but still follows them.

Later, Allan Grant's team, the group, and Eric meet. You are attacked by 3 Carnotaurus . Eric realizes that the alpha animal is after him. To save the others, Eric moves away. But the plan goes awry, the Carnotaurus stick with the teenagers and hunt them down.

Simon's little brother is almost eaten. At the last second, Eric can save the group, Allan Grant and his team.

Simon's video footage is used as evidence and he is then arrested. Eric, on the other hand, is praised for his courage by Allan Grant. He will also become a temporary member of Allan Grant's team.
