Jure Žagar is a former Slovenian ski jumper .

Career

Žagar made his international debut in the 1991/92 season as part of the Ski Jumping Continental Cup . After winning the first points, he made his debut in the ski jumping World Cup on January 17, 1992 in St. Moritz . As 59th, he only jumped to a lower place and thus remained without World Cup points. Even a little later in Engelberg and at the end of the season in Planica he could not prevail. He then remained in the B national team.

In the ski flying at the Kulm in Tauplitz in January 1993, he again missed the points as 37th. In March he achieved his best individual World Cup result with 36th place in Planica. In the 1992/93 Continental Cup season , he reached 57th place with 13 points.

After Žagar in the 1993/94 season he was again difficult to prevail in the Continental Cup. He finished the season with 79 points in 89th place overall. At the ski flying world championship in Planica in 1994 , he missed the second run with rank 40.

After the season Žagar ended his active ski jumping career.
