Yuri Stanislavowitsch Zemsky

Yuri Stanislavovich Zemsky ( Russian Юрий Станиславович Земский * 1. March 1964 in Bender , Moldavian SSR ) is a Russian Rear Admiral retired. From 2011 to 2014 he was the commander of the operational Mediterranean formation of the Russian naval fleet . From 2014 to 2017 he was the commander of the Crimean naval base .

Life

Semski graduated from the Black Sea Officers' College PS Nakhimov in 1986 . From 1986 to 2010 he served in the 41st Missile Speedboat Brigade in various command positions, including as a brigade commander. In 2004 he successfully graduated from the Naval War Academy. From 2010 to 2011 he was Deputy Chief of Staff of the Black Sea Fleet and then until 2014 commander of the operational Mediterranean Union. From 2014 to 2017 he was used as the commander of the Crimean naval base . He has been the Federal Chief Inspector for the Altai region since his retirement in 2017 .

Semski is married and has a daughter and a son.
