Jurriën Rood

Jurriën Rood (* 1955 ) is a Dutch screenwriter , film director and philosopher .

Life

Rood studied directing and screenwriting at the Nederlandse Film en Televisie Academie in Amsterdam from 1972 to 1976. From 1993 to 1994 he worked as a director of the 13-part TV series Pril Geluk in the production company of John de Mol .

His greatest success was the documentary The Road to Bresson , which was shown at the 1984 Cannes Film Festival (Un Certain Regard). From 2000 to 2006 he studied philosophy at the University of Amsterdam .

Jurriën Rood lives in Dresden and Amsterdam .
