Justin Schoenefeld (born August 13, 1998 ) is an American freestyle skier . He starts in the aerials discipline (jumping).

Career

Schoenefeld took part in the Nor-Am-Cup for the first time in Park City in December 2014 and finished 12th and 10th. In the 2015/16 season he made it into the top ten five times and thus reached ninth place in the Aerials discipline ranking. He won his first win in this series in Lake Placid . At the Junior World Championships 2017 in Chiesa in Valmalenco , he jumped to 15th place. In the 2017/18 season he won the Aerials discipline in the Nor-Am-Cup with three victories. He made his World Cup debut in January 2019 in Lake Placid, which he finished in 17th place. This was followed by two top ten placements and at the end of the season tenth place in the Aerials World Cup. After ninth place in the Deer Valley Resort and 18th place in Moscow in the 2019/20 season, he won his first World Cup victory in Minsk . This was followed by fifth place in Almaty and again tenth place in the Aerials World Cup at the end of the season.
