The Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation ( Russian Министерство юстиции Российской Федерации ) is the Ministry of Justice of the Government of Russia .
history
The Ministry was established on May 16, 1992 and assumed the functions of the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Soviet Federative Socialist Republic and, since Russia is a continuation state , the Ministry of Justice of the Soviet Union on Russian territory.
The Ministry has been headed by Alexander Konovalov since 2008 and reports directly to the President.
