The Volkstedt correctional facility is a correctional facility in the Volkstedt district of Lutherstadt Eisleben in Saxony-Anhalt .

The prison is equipped with 263 prison places and is used for the regular execution of adult men who are serving a prison sentence of up to two years.

The facility was built in 1942 as a labor camp and used as a prisoner of war camp from 1944 to 1945. After the war, the facility was initially used as a quarantine camp for refugees and from 1947 as a prison labor camp for the judiciary.

In 1974 the facility was expanded to include an administration building and from then on served as a detention center, sometimes also as a pre-trial detention center. In 2010 the Naumburg correctional facility , which had been independent until then, was incorporated into the Volkstedt prison and operated as its branch. In 2012 this branch was closed.
