Prison for women in Vechta

The prison for women in Vechta is a prison for the state of Lower Saxony . It owns the departments An der Zitadelle, Falkenrott and Hildesheim. In Hildesheim , in particular, pre-trial detention takes place. The location in Vechta goes back to a Franciscan monastery from 1640.

There is a youth department for female inmates in the Vechta prison. There is also the prison for young offenders Vechta on site .
