Jutta Kußtatscher (born January 16, 1965 in Bozen ) is a German-speaking Italian journalist , author and documentary filmmaker and co-founder of the bilingual news portal salto.bz in South Tyrol .

Life

Jutta Kußtatscher is the daughter of Karl Kußtatscher and Margareth Atzwanger and grew up with her three brothers in Bolzano. After graduating from the Realgymnasium Brixen, she studied linguistics and pedagogy at the University of Innsbruck and moved to Graz in 1987 . She graduated from the Karl-Franzens University with a degree in linguistics. In 1993 she started as a journalist for the news magazine südtirol profil (until 1996), which was founded by the Viennese news magazine profil in March 1993 under the publisher Hubertus Czernin . In the mid-1990s, the women's magazine ëres - women info donne , for which she also wrote articles for a year, started under her responsibility for press law. After three years in the daily press in the Deutsches Blatt des Alto Adige (1996–1998), Kußtatscher wrote her first book, " Garbage Tells" . She returned to current reporting in 2001 as editor of the Südtiroler Wochenmagazin ff . She had stays in Romania (Karlstadt), London, Brussels, Rome, Bolivia and Vienna.

Kußtatscher has been working as a freelance journalist since 2005. She writes non-fiction books and produces film documentaries. In 2012 she joined the Demos2.0 cooperative and was one of the founders of the bilingual South Tyrolean online portal salto.bz, who was responsible for the implementation of this journalistic concept.
