Jutta Müller (politician)

Jutta Müller (born August 14, 1957 in Völklingen ; † January 27, 2019 ) was a German politician ( SPD ). From 1990 to 2002 she was a member of the German Bundestag .

Life

After attending secondary school, Müller did an apprenticeship as a bank clerk and then became a savings bank specialist. She then worked as a client advisor in the area of ​​investment advice. She was a member of the workers' welfare organization and the trade, banking and insurance union . In 1974 she joined the SPD, until 1984 she was deputy chairwoman of the Young Socialists in the sub-district of Saarbrücken Land. She was then a member of the Völklingen city council for five years and, since 1988, the local association chairwoman of the Völklingen Fürstenhausen local association. In 1990 she was elected to the German Bundestag in the Saarbrücken II constituency, to which she was a member until 2002.
