Károly Güttler

Károly Güttler [ ˈkaːroj ˈɡytlɛr ] (born June 15, 1968 in Budapest ) is a former Hungarian swimmer .

He took part in four Olympic Games from 1988 to 2000 and was able to win the silver medal over 100 m breasts at the 1988 Olympic Games in Seoul . At the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta , he again won silver over the 200-meter chest distance.

At the European Championships in 1993 he won the gold medal in the 100 m chest and the silver medal in the 200 m chest. In the same year he was voted World Swimmer of the Year and European Swimmer of the Year.
