Adrian Moorhouse
Adrian David Moorhouse (born May 24, 1964 in Bradford ) is a former British swimmer .
He was one of the world's best swimmers on the chest location in the 1980s and early 1990s. In 1990 he was voted Europe's swimmer of the year . In 1989 he received the MBE for his successes .
Overall, he was able to win the European championship title four times in the 100 m and 200 m breaststroke . At the Olympic Games in Seoul in 1988 , he was Olympic champion over 100 m breaststroke. After he only finished eighth in the finals over 100 m breaststroke four years later at the 1992 Olympic Games in Barcelona , he ended his career.
After his career as a swimmer, Moorhouse became a commentator for the BBC . In 1999 he was inducted into the international swimming pool 's hall of fame .
