Grigori Alexejewitsch Falko ( Russian Григорий Алексеевич Фалько , scientific transliteration Grigorij Alekseevič Falko ; born May 9, 1987 in Leningrad ) is a Russian swimmer .
Career
Falko's greatest success is winning the gold medal in the 200 m breaststroke with a new European championship record at the European Swimming Championships in Eindhoven in 2008 . His championship record was only twelve hundredths above the five-year-old European record of his compatriot Dmitri Komornikow .
His trainer is Viktor Vasilnok.
