Steve Lundquist
Stephen "Steve" K. Lundquist (born February 20, 1961 in Atlanta ) is a retired American swimmer and actor .
His greatest sporting successes were the two Olympic victories at the 1984 Olympic Games in Los Angeles . He won the gold medal in the 100 meter chest and with the 4 x 100 meter relay . Four years earlier he had missed the Olympics because of the US Olympic boycott.
In 1986 Lundquist was one of the commentators for the Goodwill Games in Moscow. In 1990 he was inducted into the international swimming pool 's hall of fame . At the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta , he was one of the former athletes who carried the Olympic flag at the opening ceremony.
Lundquist gained prominence as an actor with the role of assistant Igor from Professor Mortimer gangrene in the Killer Tomatoes - B-Movie series (from The Return of the Killer Tomatoes ). As an actor, he was also listed as a contributor under the stage name Gerard Lundquist.
