John Hencken
John Frederick Hencken (born May 29, 1954 in Culver City ) is a former American swimmer .
At the 1972 Summer Olympics of Munich , he won the gold medal in the 200m breast and bronze over 100m breaststroke. Four years later, at the 1976 Olympic Games of Montreal , he won two gold medals over 100m breaststroke and the 4 x 100 m medley relay of the United States. He also won the silver medal in the 200 m breaststroke.
In 1988 he was inducted into the international swimming pool 's hall of fame .
