Joseph Verdeur
Joseph Thomas "Joe" Verdeur (born March 7, 1926 in Philadelphia , Pennsylvania , † August 6, 1991 in Bryn Mawr ) was an American swimmer .
At the first Olympic Games after the Second World War , he was able to become Olympic champion over 200 m chest in London in 1948 . In his career he set 19 world records.
In 1966 he was inducted into the International Swimming Hall of Fame.
