Robert Skelton

Robert Skelton (born June 25, 1903 in Wilmette , Illinois , † June 25, 1977 in Houston , Texas ) was an American swimmer .

At the Olympic Games in Paris in 1924 , he was Olympic champion over 200 m chest . His winning time was 2: 56.6 minutes. Skelton swam for the same swimmer club (Illinois AC) as the famous swimmer Johnny Weissmüller . In 1988 he was inducted into the international swimming pool 's hall of fame .
