Carinthian Gate
A narrowing of the Drautal before Oberdrauburg is called the Kärntner Tor . The narrowing is in Carinthia at an altitude of 632 meters and forms the border between East Tyrol and Carinthia. The "gate" borders directly on the southeastern municipality boundary of Nikolsdorf , the easternmost municipality in East Tyrol.
The Drautal Straße (B 100) and the Drautalbahn railway line from Villach to Lienz run through the Kärntner Tor .
