Käthe Averwald

Käthe Averwald (born February 22, 1931 in Eschendorf ) is a German translator and dialect writer .

Life

Averwald initially devoted herself to marriage and family, later she became a geriatric nurse. She published her first Low German poem in 1986 as part of a Westfälische Nachrichten authors' competition . She became known through stories in the Münsterländer Platt , into which she also translated works. She works on a voluntary basis in various church and cultural institutions. It was also confirmed on the radio. B. to hear from 1994 to 1997 with Low German columns on Radio RST in Rheine.

Averwald is a member of the Augustin-Wibbelt Society and the Plattdütsken Krink .
