Eschendorf is a district of Rheine . With around 11,000 inhabitants, it is one of the larger districts of Rheine.

Eschendorf is located east of the Rhine city center. In the north, the Konrad-Adenauer-Ring forms the border with the Schotthock district . In the east, the Hemelter Bach forms the approximate demarcation to the Rodde district in the middle of agricultural areas . In the south, the Löhne – Rheine railway line delimits the district from Gellendorf . To the west, the Ems and the Rhine city center form the border.

economy

In the district of Eschendorf there are scattered small trade, craft and commercial enterprises as well as agricultural businesses in the outskirts on the outskirts. A small sub-center with a pharmacy, supermarket, doctors and other retail businesses is on the edge of the district on Elter Straße. Along the Osnabrücker Straße (L501) in the north of the district there are numerous trade, craft and business enterprises over a length of about 5 kilometers.

The Rheine-Eschendorf airfield is also located in the district .
