Kévin Igier (born March 4, 1987 in Paris ) is a French ice hockey player who has been under contract with the Ducs de Dijon in the French Ligue Magnus since 2012 .

Career

Kévin Igier began his career as a hockey player in the junior division of Rouen Hockey Elite 76 , for whose U18 and U22 juniors he was active between 2003 and 2007. At the same time he gained match practice at HC Le Havre in third-class Division 2 from 2004 to 2007 . In addition, the defender was in a total of 18 games for Rouen's professional team in Ligue Magnus , the top French division, on the ice between 2005 and 2007 . In the summer of 2007 Igier moved within the Ligue Magnus to the Ducs d'Angers , where he was a regular player in the following three years and where he was a national team player. In 2010 he was also elected to the Ligue Magnus All-Star Team.

After Igier had started the 2010/11 season in Angers, he left the club after only five appearances and joined its league rivals Chamonix Hockey Club . By the end of the season he had two goals and three assists in 21 games for the traditional club. For the 2011/12 season Igier returned to the Ducs d'Angers. In summer 2012 he was signed by the Ducs de Dijon .

International

For France , Igier took part in the junior division in the U18 Junior B World Championships in 2005 and the U20 Junior B World Championships in 2006 and 2007 . In the senior division, he was in France's squad at the 2009 and 2010 A World Championships .
