The Kökömeren ( Kyrgyz Көкөмерен ) is a right tributary of the Naryn in Kyrgyzstan ( Central Asia ).
The Kökömeren arises at the confluence of the Suusamyr and Karakol (also "Western Karakol") near the village of Koschomkul on the southern edge of the Suusamyr valley . It flows through the western Tianshan in a narrow gorge. It initially flows 30 km south, then turns east and after another 20 km reaches the confluence of the Jumgal . Then it flows 15 km south. At the confluence of the Mingkusch , the Kökömeren turns to the west. Finally, he meets the Naryn on the right. 3 km above the mouth, the Kebjuksu meets the Kökömeren from the right. The Kökömeren has a length of 108 km. It drains an area of 10,400 km². The mean discharge is 102 m³ / s.
The river is used for rafting . There are plans to use the water power potential of the Kökömeren to generate energy.
