King Karl Foundation for members of the Württemberg postal administration
The King Karl Foundation, named after Karl , for members of the Württemberg postal administration was established from Württemberg’s share of the surpluses from the administration of the French state posts by the Imperial Postal Administration during the Franco-German War in 1870/71 . The foundation , based in Berlin, was supposed to promote the welfare of the members of the Württemberg postal administration and to give them and their survivors support. The statutes of the foundation were similar to those of the Kaiser Wilhelm Foundation for members of the German Reich postal administration .
