The Royal Castle on the Dedinje ( Cyrillic Краљевски двор ) in Belgrade , Serbia is located together with the Beli dvor on the highest hill of Dedinje on a property with an area of ​​135 hectares. In the complex of the Royal Castle is the chapel of St. Andrew the Apostle which is connected to the royal castle with a colonnade .

The royal palace was built between 1921 and 1929 at the behest of King Alexandar I Karadordević . It is a Neo-Byzantine building made of white marble.

On the ground floor are the neo-renaissance library, the royal cabinet, the golden salon , the festival hall and the neo-baroque blue salon . The paintings of the Holy Family by Jacopo Palma the Elder in the Golden Salon and Venus and Adonis by Nicolas Poussin in the Blue Salon stand out. In the castle there are also marble sculptures by Ivan Mestrović (self-portrait, Miloš Obilić , Sphinx ), Toma Rosandićs ( Njegoš ) and two Roman copies of Lysipp's wrestlers.

The premises on the first floor were given to the heirs of the royal family as private apartments in 2003 , who often organize charity events there, while the rest of the palace is still a public museum.

In the basement there are rooms decorated according to Kremlin models . Here is also the hall of Dušan's wedding, which is decorated according to motifs from the folk poetry of the same name, as well as a cinema.
