Royal road
Königsweg or Königspfad stands for:
- a phrase: I. Ptolemy had Euclid once asked if there was a shorter road to geometry give than to the elements , which the latter is said to have replied that there is no royal road to geometry, hence the importance that there is no short, easy walk-way .
- The royal roads of ancient empires, the roads reserved for the great king and the pharaoh and his entourage, were the shortest and best roads to the various parts of the country.
