Kühnsdorf ( Slov. Sinča vas ) is a village and a cadastral municipality in the municipality of Eberndorf in the Völkermarkt district in Carinthia ( Austria ).

The village has 1,604 inhabitants, of whom, according to the 2001 census, around 10% belong to the Carinthian Slovenes . The place was in the 1267/68 Urbar of Rechenberg first mentioned and is located 3.5 km north of Eberndorf on the road to international market .

Buildings

  • The parish church, which was consecrated to St. Aegidius , is essentially a Romanesque, later Gothicized building with a polygonal, single-bay choir with a 5/8 end . The church, whose oldest documented mention dates back to 1784, has a wooden porch and a roof turret in the west. On the southern outer wall there is a St Christopher fresco (marked Skuk. 1885 ).
