Kürkçü (kurd. Kûrcik ) is an almost deserted village in the district of Kangal in the Turkish province of Sivas . Kürkçü is about 20 km north of Kangal and in 2011 still had 28 inhabitants.

The village is surrounded by mountains and hills and is located at the crossroads of several streams that are dangerous when the snow melts. The largest stream is the Kangal Çayı, west of the village. The highest mountain in the area is the Büyük Yılanlı Dağı with approx. 2600 m. Further north is the Dutlutaş peak with an altitude of 2310 m. The village has been connected to the public electricity and telephone network since the 1980s. The first elementary school was built in 1967. This was closed due to a lack of students due to emigration in the mid-1980s. The main source of income is keeping small animals.

The former name of the village was Kurçik. This name is of Kurdish origin and means "pile of stones". The current Turkish name Kürkçü means furrier .

The population consists mainly of Kurdish Alevis with Kurmanji as their mother tongue . The majority of the inhabitants belong to the Koçgiri tribe . Many former residents now live in England.
