Kęstutis Lančinskas

Kęstutis Lančinskas (born November 24, 1967 ) is a Lithuanian police officer who has been Head of Mission of the European Union Advisory Mission in Ukraine since February 2016 .

Life

After graduating from middle school graduated Lančinskas 1992, the Diploma in Law as a Legal Consultant at the Vilniaus universitetas . From October 1990 he worked as an interrogator and from October 1991 as an inspector in the Vilnius Police Department . From June 1992 Lančinskas was an inspector of the Lithuanian Criminal Police . From 1992 to 1998 he worked at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania as the first secretary in the Lithuanian diplomatic service. In October 1998 he became a police superintendent in the Police Department at the Ministry of Interior of Lithuania .

From 1998 to 2005, Lančinskas headed the International Cooperation and European Integration Service at the Police Department of the Lithuanian Ministry of the Interior, where he was also responsible for Lithuania's participation in peacekeeping missions and Lithuania's accession to Schengen cooperation. In 2005 Lančinskas became Deputy Chief of Police in Lithuania . From 2009 to 2016 he headed the Vilnius Police Department . On January 7, 2016, the Council of the European Union appointed Lančinskas Head of Mission of the European Union Advisory Mission to Ukraine. On February 1, 2016, Lančinskas began working in Kiev as the successor to Kalman Mizsei .
