The Kōfuku-jitsugen-tō ( Japanese 幸福 実 現 党 , "Glücksrealisierungspartei"; English The Happiness Realization Party ) is a political party in Japan . It was founded before the general election in 2009 by the religious community Kofuku no Kagaku ( Happy Science ), which is also active in Germany . Although it was unable to win seats, it was temporarily represented in 2010 by a deferred MP in the Sangiin , the upper house.

history

During the 2009 election campaign, the party attracted attention by calling for the abolition of sales tax and warning of the threat posed by a nuclear armed North Korea . She calls for a revision of Article 9 of the Japanese Constitution , wants to increase the population of Japan to 300 million, overcome the "colonial mentality" of Japan and open the country to immigrants and abolish inheritance and gift taxes in addition to VAT. She also wants to introduce a presidential system of government. The founding chairman of the party was Jikidō Aeba . In June before the election he was replaced by Kyōko Ōkawa , the ex-wife of Ryūhō Ōkawa , founder and president of the Kōfuku no Kagaku. In the 2009 election, the party failed to win a seat. After three other party chairmen, Etsuo Ishikawa has been chairing since April 2010 , a former employee of Nomura Shōken and since 1994 a member of Kōfuku no Kagaku.

In May 2010, the former DPJ , Kaikaku Club and LDP MP Yasuhiro Ōe joined the Kōfuku-jitsugen-tō. In the 2010 upper house elections , the party put up candidates primarily in the more urban prefectures with multiple mandates. Ōe resigned from the party in December 2010.
