Kohei Abe

Kōhei Abe ( Japanese 安 部 浩 平 , Abe Kōhei ; * December 8, 1923 in Tokyo Prefecture ; † November 8, 2005 in Nagoya ) was a Japanese manager .

Life

Abe graduated from Kyoto University in 1949 .

In 1991 he became president ( shachō ) and in 1995 chairman ( kaichō ) of the energy supplier Chubu Electric Power Company . In addition, in 1993 he became chairman of the "Association of Electricity Suppliers" ( Denki Jigyō Rengōkai ) and was thus involved in the amendment of the "Energy Supply Act" ( 電 気 事業 法 , Denki-jigyō-hō ). In 1995 he was also chairman of the " Chūbu Business Association " ( 中部 経 済 連 合 会 , Chūbu Keizai Rengōkai ) and was involved in the financing of Chūbu Airport . After retiring from the operational business of the Chubu Electric Power Company in June 2001, he was an honorary advisor to the company.

From July 1999 until his death he was Honorary Consul of the Federal Republic of Germany in Nagoya .
