Kōhei Morita ( Japanese 盛 田 剛 平 , Morita Kōhei ; born July 13, 1976 in Aichi Prefecture ) is a former Japanese football player .

Career

Morita learned to play football on the school team at Toin Gakuen High School and the university team at Komazawa University . He signed his first contract with the Urawa Reds in 1999 . The club played in the highest league in the country, the J1 League . At the end of the 1999 season, the club was relegated to the J2 League . In 2000 he was runner-up in the J2 League with the club. For the club he completed 23 games. In 2001 he moved to the first division club Cerezo Osaka . In August 2001 he moved to the second division side Kawasaki Frontale . In 2002 he moved to league rivals Omiya Ardija . For the club he completed 63 games. In August 2004 he moved to the first division club Sanfrecce Hiroshima . At the end of the 2007 season, the club was relegated to the J2 League. In 2008 he became champions of the J2 League with the club and rose again to the J1 League. For the club he completed 105 games. In 2012 he moved to the second division Ventforet Kofu . In 2012 he was with the club master of the J2 League and rose to the J1 League. For the club he completed 86 games. In 2017 he moved to the second division Thespakusatsu Gunma . At the end of 2017 he ended his career as a football player.
