Kōji Nishimura ( Japanese 西村 弘 司 Nishimura Kōji ; born July 7, 1984 in Mie Prefecture ) is a former Japanese football player .

Career

Nishimura learned to play soccer on the school team at Yokkaichi Chuo Technical High School . He signed his first contract in 2003 with Kyoto Purple Sanga (today: Kyoto Sanga FC). The club played in the highest league in the country, the J1 League . At the end of the 2003 season, the club was relegated to the J2 League . In 2005 he was with the club master of the J2 League and rose again to the J1 League. At the end of the 2006 season, the club was relegated to the J2 League. For the club he completed 39 league games. In 2008 he moved to the first division club Nagoya Grampus . With the club he became Japanese champion in 2010 . For the club, he completed five first division games. At the end of 2016, he ended his career as a football player.
