Kōsei Tanaka ( Japanese 田中 恒 成 , Tanaka Kōsei ; born June 15, 1995 in Tajimi , Gifu Prefecture , Japan ) is a Japanese professional boxer and current undefeated WBO world champion straw weight .

Amateur career

Tanaka took part in the World Youth Championships in the Armenian capital Yerevan in 2012 and made it to the quarter-finals, where he lost to Indian Lalitha Prasad Polipalli by just under on points (11:12).

In 2013, after a narrow defeat in the final (13:15) against Jade Bornea, he won the bronze medal at the Asian Youth Games in Subic Bay , Philippines .

Professional career

In his third fight, he won the OPBF belt when he Crison Omayao heavy in the first round ko suggested. In his next fight he won over his compatriot Ryuji Hara (18-0-0) by technical knockout in the 10th round and inflicted his first and so far only defeat on him at the same time.

In his 5th fight he won the vacant world championship title of the WBO association, which is very remarkable.
