Tajimi (also Tajimi ; Japanese 多 治 見 市 , -shi ) is a city in the Japanese prefecture of Gifu .
geography
Tajimi is northeast of Nagoya and east of Gifu .
history
The city was founded on August 1, 1940 .
Tajimi is a traffic hub and is known for its porcelain factories. The temple Eihō-ji with its temple garden is located on the northern edge of the city. Tajimi is also the seat of a monastery of the Steyler missionaries .
