The steam locomotive kkStB FB 1 was a narrow gauge - tank locomotive of the imperial army railways of Austria .
This small locomotive with 700 mm gauge was built by Decauville in 1901 as the first test locomotive for the Heeresfeldbahn, as no such locomotive was available in Austria. The kuk Heeresfeldbahnen carried out a test run with the machine on the training area of the horse field railway near Korneuburg , which went well with regard to the locomotive, but the superstructure had to be reinforced for a future locomotive field railway operation. As a result, more test locomotives were ordered from Austro-Hungarian locomotive factories that were stronger than the No. 1.
No. 1 came to the Vienna Forestry and Domain Directorate in 1920 , was used by the Weidling- Rotgraben forest railway from 1921 to 1922 and was dismantled in 1925.
