The steam locomotive k.uk FB 3 was a narrow gauge - tank locomotive of the imperial army railways of Austria .
This small locomotive with 700 mm gauge was manufactured by the Floridsdorf locomotive factory in 1902 as a test locomotive for the Heeresfeldbahnen. The four-cylinder compound action locomotive was designed as a mallet locomotive . This construction was probably chosen in the interest of good archability in tight arc radii, but its chassis was classified as too complicated for war purposes, so that no reorders were made.
The machine was rented to Orenstein & Koppel from 1906 to 1907 . In 1922 it was listed as in need of repair at the Korneuburg field railway training area . After that, their track is lost.
