The KATV tower was an American US in 1967 for the television company KATV near Redfield in Arkansas erected at 34 ° 28'24 "north latitude and 92 ° 12'11" west longitude 609.6 meter high transmission tower to spread of television programs . The KATV transmission mast, which was one of the tallest structures in the world, collapsed on January 11, 2008 when the guy ropes were replaced. One worker was slightly injured. The mast's owner, KATV, decided against rebuilding it in Redfield.
