Koninklijke Racing Club Harelbeke was a Belgian football club from Harelbeke , in the province of West Flanders .

history

The club was founded in 1930 as RC Harelbeke and a short time later renamed KRC Harelbeke. In the period from 1978 to 1995 he was second class, except for two seasons in which the third division was played. After promotion to the Jupiler Pro League in 1995 , the best result in 1997/98 was achieved with a fifth place.

In 1998 the team played in the 3rd round of the Intertoto Cup against Sampdoria Genoa , losing 1-0 and 3-0 and eliminated.

After relegation in 2001, the club renamed itself KRC Zuid-West-Vlaanderen , but had financial problems and then had to file for bankruptcy.
