KTK ( Russian КТК ) is a Kazakh television station based in Almaty . When it was founded on November 2, 1990, it was the first private broadcaster in Kazakhstan.
history
The television station was founded on November 2nd, 1990 by Isja Ejnechowitsch Fidel. The broadcasting operations did not take place until February 20, 1991, initially the broadcasting area was limited to the city of Almaty. The program at that time consisted of foreign film productions, Disney cartoons and other foreign entertainment formats. Compared to the previous state broadcasting service, this was a great novelty.
In 1996 the transmission area was extended to other cities in Kazakhstan. In addition, the channel is starting to broadcast more of its own productions. On May 19, 2001, the station first broadcast the Kazakh version of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? (Russian. Кто возьмёт миллион? / Kto vosmjot million?) from. In 2004, the Kazakh-Russian co-production Gospoda ofizery (Господа офицеры) started production of the first own series. Four years later, KTK broadcast Otkroite dwer, ja stschastje (Откройте дверь, я счастье) the first Kazakh comedy series, which was also the first format that the station produced on its own. After the first three seasons of the talent show The X Factor were broadcast on the Pervy channel Evrasia , KTK broadcast the fourth season of the show from September 14 to December 7, 2013.

The program consists of in-house productions and foreign formats, mostly from the USA and Russia . The American series that KTK broadcasts include Dr. House , Desperate Housewives , Prison Break , Lost and Cold Case - no victim is ever forgotten .
