The KVT-Fastening (by 2010 Koenig Verbindungstechnik AG ) is a pan-European wholesalers and engineering company in the connection and fastening technology . KVT-Fastening has been part of the Bossard Group since December 1, 2012 and operates independently from the main logistics centers in Dietikon (CH), Illerrieden (D) and Asten (A). The activities focus on the DA-CH region and CEE countries.
history
In 1927 the engineer Max Koenig founded a lightweight construction company in Zurich. The company initially focused on sheet metal . In 1950, production was expanded to include blind rivets and fasteners and the headquarters moved to Dietikon. In 1963 the sole proprietorship was transformed into Dr. Ing.Koenig AG . In 1970 the company entered the sealing business. 1973 was the establishment of the branch in Illerrieden near Ulm, Germany. A year later, the development and production of the Koenig expander began. In 1985 the name was changed to Koenig Connection Technology AG . The abbreviation KVT, which is still used today, comes from this name.
In 1992 the Austrian company mbb was taken over and the branch in Asten near Linz was founded. In 2000 a location was opened in Gdańsk / Poland. In 2005 a branch was established in Brno / Czech Republic. In the years 2007-2008 the acquisition of Sherex Industries and Famington Engineering in America took place, whereby the KVT Koenig, LLC was founded. In 2010 locations were established in Ljubljana / Slovenia, Bucarest / Romania, Bratislava / Slovakia and Budapest / Hungary. In the same year all branches were merged to form the KVT Solutioneering Group. In 2011 the company expanded to Brazil and China. In 2012, the Bossard Group took over the joining technology division from the KVT Solutioneering Group.
In 2013 there were 255 employees. KVT-Fastening trades in around 70,000 products - from press-fit bolts to locking devices to blind rivet nuts and the associated assembly devices. In addition to the own brand Fasteks, products from 3M , Araldite, Avdel , Avibank, BBA, Bighead, Camloc, Cherry , Filtec, Huck, Keenserts, Kömmerling , Koenig Expander, LISI Automotive , Loctite , Minibooster, Pem, Pop, Scapa, Southco, Tappex , Tubtara and Weh expelled.
The engineering activity encompasses various sectors such as automotive, construction, electrical engineering, energy technology, precision mechanics, hydraulics & industry, aerospace, mechanical engineering, medical technology, transport, offshore and marine.
