Bogatoje ( Russian Богатое , German Pokalkstein ) is a place in the Russian Kaliningrad region and belongs to the local government unit Stadtkreis Selenogradsk in Zelenogradsky District .
Geographical location
Bogatoje located 32 km northwest of the Oblasthauptstadt Kaliningrad (Konigsberg) on the municipal street 27K-159 in the section of Salskoje (St. Lawrence) in the vicinity of the junction of the regional road 27A-013 (ex A 192 ) according Kljukwennoje (Klycken) .
history
The village, called Pokalkstein until 1947 , was founded in 1305 and before 1945 consisted of three large farms. In 1874 Pokalkstein came to the newly established district of Sankt Lorenz and belonged to the Fischhausen district - from 1939 to 1945 to the Samland district - in the Königsberg district of the Prussian province of East Prussia .
On December 11, 1893, the three rural communities Kraam (now Russian: Gratschowka), Plautwehnen (now Russian: Rakitnoje) and Pokalkstein merged to form the new rural community Kraam.
As a result of the war, Pokalkstein came to the Soviet Union with all of northern East Prussia in 1945 and was given the Russian name Bogatoje in 1947. At the same time the place was assigned to the village soviet Shatrowski selski Sowet in Primorsk Raion . From 2005 to 2015 Bogatoje belonged to the rural municipality of Krasnotorovskoye selskoje posselenije and since then to the city district of Zelenogradsk.

The majority Protestant population of Pokalkstein was incorporated into the parish of the parish church in Sankt Lorenz (today Russian: Salskoje) before 1945 . It belonged to the parish of Fischhausen (Primorsk) within the church province of East Prussia of the Church of the Old Prussian Union . Today Bogatoje lies in the catchment area of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of the Resurrection in Kaliningrad (Königsberg) , which was newly built in the 1990s, within the Kaliningrad provost of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of European Russia .
