Kuznetskoye ( Russian Кузнецкое , German  Backelfeld ) is a place in the Russian Oblast Kaliningrad . It belongs to the local government unit Stadtkreis Selenogradsk in Zelenogradsky District .

Geographical location

Kuznetskoye is 14 kilometers northwest of the Oblast capital Kaliningrad (Koenigsberg) on the municipal road 27K-341, that from Petrowo (target) on the main road Kaliningrad - Selenogradsk (Cranz) via Pereleski (Waldhausen) to the main road (former German Reichsstrasse 143 ) from Kaliningrad via Pereslavskoje (Drug stretching) leads to Svetlogorsk (Rauschen) . The until 1946 Backelfeld called Vorwerk originally belonged to Good large mixing (now Russian: Swobodnoje). On June 4, 1907, the estate district Zielkeim (today Russian: Petrowo) was formed from the estate Groß Mischen and the Vorwerk Backelfeld , which was incorporated into the administrative district Groß Mischen. This was assigned to the district of Fischhausen (from 1939 to 1945 district of Samland ) in the district of Königsberg of the Prussian province of East Prussia and existed until 1945. As a result of the Second World War , Backelfeld came to the Soviet Union in 1945 with all of northern East Prussia . The place was given the Russian name Kuznetskoye in 1950 and was assigned at the same time to the village Soviet Matrossowski selski Sowet in Gurjewsk Rajon . The place later came to the Pereslavski selski Sowet in Zelenogradsk Raion . From 2005 to 2015 Kuznetskoye belonged to the rural municipality of Pereslavskoje selskoje posselenije and since then to the city district of Zelenogradsk.
